Winter Group Hike w/ Mark & Bullet (Our Beloved Mascot)

MOUNT RAINIER AREA > CHINOOK PASS – HWY 410

Length: 3.9 miles roundtrip

Elevation Gain: 975 ft

Highest Point: 3,100 ft

Difficulty: Level 2 (Moderate)

Meet us for a nice hike through lush rainforest with a variety of mossy trees and a dense forest floor. We will make our way to the Snoquera Falls waterfall 1.5 miles in, which can be roaring under the right winter conditions!

Dress in warm layers, hiking boots, and bring a water bottle and snack!

*We will be meeting and carpooling from the office at 7AM, otherwise meet us at the trailhead at 8:45am!

GETTING THERE:

TRAILHEAD ADDRESS: Put in “Camp Sheppard Boy Scout Camp” 65301 WA-410, Enumclaw, WA 98022

Co-ordinates: 47.0328, -121.5579

From Enumclaw drive east on Hwy 410 (the Chinook Pass Highway) through the town of Greenwater. Continue driving until you pass the Dalles Campground. About 2.5 miles, turn left into the Camp Sheppard Trailhead, take an immediate right into the parking lot for the Snoquera Falls, Buck Creek and White River trails. This is just a few yards south of Camp Sheppard Boy Scout Camp entrance. A toilet is available in the parking lot.

If approaching from the south via State Route 410, the right turn at the Camp Sheppard sign is one quarter mile beyond milepost 53.
