Dr. Felicia Guity is an accomplished, award-winning sales, business development executive and board member who delivers on billion-dollar revenue goals through strategy, sales, digital marketing and technical platforms. She has a demonstrable record of more than 32 years formulating business strategy, driving organizational transformation, leading process improvement, team building and P&L enhancement while developing products and services. She has strong experience in alliances and joint ventures, opportunity and acquisition assessment, and high-value negotiations.
Felicia currently works in Google’s Cloud organization in an Executive Leadership role reporting to Ben Treynor Sloss, VP of SRE. Ben originated the discipline of “Systems Reliability Engineering” at Google, now an industry-wide recognized term and concept. As Ben’s Chief of Staff, she will leverage her abilities in the area of people, programs and strategic planning at scale. She has worked at several large technology companies in her career but the most notable was her 18 year career at Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT).
While at Microsoft, Felicia was promoted numerous times during her 18 year tenure. Rising from entry-level to the top 1% of company leadership — the first African American woman to do so. As a VP/General Manager, Worldwide Education Channel Strategy, Marketing & Programs, she delivers to a revenue goal of $18B through global, cross-company functional leadership roles overseeing a $394M annual budget to a less than 1% variance. Felicia leads the developing and institutionalizing of the education device channel business and pricing strategy, including sales models, marketing and incentive activities that enable Microsoft to achieve share and presence in the education segment.
Previously, in her role of GM, Worldwide Channel Marketing & Incentives, Felicia oversaw the breadth channel of approximately 250,000 partners, driving up to $4B in direct revenue and impacting nearly $10B in revenue through multinational accounts at the point of distribution. She led the worldwide channel marketing efforts with Microsoft’s regional and local OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) partners, field sales and marketing teams. Felicia delivered culturally appropriate campaigns, advertisements and content, defining global engagement and influence models, while establishing marketing protocols and managing incentives, promotions, websites and portals.
As GM, OEM MNA Account Marketing & Platform Sales Management, Felicia established executive-level communications and influence models with partnering companies that drove 95% of the revenue, or $18-22B, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba, Acer, Acer, Samsung and Sony. She led the development and execution of worldwide marketing plans, joint marketing agreements and partner revenue targets that drove operating system sales and services in the channel.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Felicia was the VP, Mergers & Acquisition Integration, for Lawson Software Inc. (now Infor), where she led the post-merger and integration process for all Lawson acquired entities. She also served as VP, Strategic Alliances, overseeing a $100M P&L.
Felicia has served on several nonprofit boards: The Boys & Girls Club of America, We Connect the Dots, the Seattle Opera and was Board Chairman for Powerful Voices. She has been recognized with coveted awards including Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Business, Black Enterprise, 2017; Top Most Influential Women in Corporate America, Savoy Magazine, 2014; and Top Women Executive in Advertising & Marketing, Black Enterprise, 2013 and numerous others.
